About Us

We are a family run business, catering for the carp angler and their family. Fishing in France can sometimes be daunting the list of potential problems can put the angler and families off, problems like facilities, language, strange rules, licenses & stories of big fish that never appear, to name a few. We have experienced them all, so we decided to cater for the carp angler & their family ourselves.

After a year of searching we found this lake, which we have re-named Etang du soleil, which translated means pond of the sun. We offer drive & survive, luxury lake side mobile homes or you can stay off site at the community lake (10 minute walk away, details can be found in the area button above. Plans for 2007 season are to have 2 gites on site with more to follow.

The lake has a maximum of 9 pegs which gives each angler 1.5 acres to fish in. The pegs can be booked in advance and we will endeavor to grant your request, however they are booked on a first to book basis. If the peg of your choice is already booked we will allocate another. This will be confirmed on receipt of your booking form and deposit. We have also constructed a peg for a disabled angler, as again the disabled angler has little choice when fishing in France.

Each of us has a minimum of 15 years carping in both England & France. Using our experience we will provide a service for you, this may be advice & help on fishing our lake or where to go or what to do for the family. On site we will have a comprehensive bait and tackle store offering quality bait from Mainline at competitive prices. There will be no problem bringing your own but this will have to be quality checked before you use it. This will ensure our fish are healthy for you & others to catch. (see the rules page)
